WSE - Status

This is the new extension of Wascou Edition Software that provides great social network for eZPublish !

This extension is available now and can be bought. Contact maxime dot thomas at wascou dot org for further information and look at the product page WSE - Status.

This extension has also been purposed to be added in the eZSystems XTEND Market Place.

There will be soon a movie and some screenshots to picture it.

Other projects

The point has been made on other projects we want to develop :

• WSE - InGrid : still maintained
• WSE - People Selector : still maintained
• WSE - Scrum Manager : Cancelled for the moment
• WSE - Deployment Suite : planned for a v2 with a full UI refresh

Books

We will publish some book reviews in the next weeks, some good stuff have been learned.

eZPublish Community

We will answer this week to an interview for the Research Program initialized by eZSystems.

WSE - Status

The development goes on on the new extension called WSE Status which aims to provide to eZPublish a complete solution for Enterprise on Social Network.

Basically, it looks like Twitter and is totally integrated in the eZPublish CMF : followers, status, favorites, direct messages, a lot of features are already implemented.

Technically, it's based on Apache Zeta Components and jQueryUI. A special thought has been given to optimize performance on this solution.

A video has been planned and you will get some more information during January.

Checkpoint

This year has been full of events and we finally did it, a new website and a new design, a development platform with all required tools, new projects and all this.

Some news :

• First tests have been made for WDS (Wascou Delivery System) and it needs some refactoring to ease the configuration and its scalability. Stay tuned.
• The URL Shortener extension (wse_us) has been released for eZPublish. More details on its documentation page.
• A news extension has been specified, also for eZPublish, for the moment, no details but we are pretty sure it will be appreciated by all the community. The release is fixed at the beginning of January 2011.
